Item Title

/

Design

Label a particular element without overpowering the element itself.

Think of item titles as a subhead for a single item. They provide extra weight when necessary, but aren't essential for everyday use.

Version 5+
If using Uniform Version 5 or later, please refer to our Storybook docs for the Item Title documentation and examples.

Size

As usual, it all depends on context.

Email Address

Default: Suitable for the majority of interfaces.

Style

The all-caps variation of item title makes every letter uppercase, creating an extra layer of visual density not provided by the standard item title.

Order Number

Usage

An item title is an alernative to the subhead. Use an item title when a subhead would be too visually distracting against the rest of the interface, or when space is at a premium. Item titles should not be used in place of any other type component.

  • When referencing Hudl, always use the default style.
  • Limit the usage of all-caps style to one-word phrases.

Microcopy

Use the UI label guidelines when typesetting item titles.
